Mathematics and cognitive abilities part 1: the development of arithmetic skills.

The first of three presentations about mathematics and cognitive abilities is found here.  This presentation deals with the development of arithmetic skills, especially those we need to know in order to understand learning disabilities manifested in math and dyscalculia.

What will the other presentations be about? (It'll take me a while longer to get them in a publishable state).

Part 2 will deal with cognitive abilities (fluid ability, processing speed, short term memory, long term storage and retrieval, visual processing, auditory processing, comprehension knowledge) and their relations with math.

Part 3 will deal with learning disabilities manifested in math and dyscalculia.

Enjoy!
