Kevin McGrew in a short video about WJ4!

  

In this five minute video Dr. Kevin McGrew talks about the WJ4 test that is currently being published.  McGrew  says, that one of the goals of the 4^th version was to increase the cognitive complexity of the tests.  One of the ways to do that is by increasing the working memory demands of tests. The test developers created tasks that require the performance of many simple tasks all at once.  These kinds of tasks increase working memory demands.  That's what caused Auditory ability to have the highest g loading in the WJ4.  McGrew also tells about his and his colleagues' efforts to strive to improve the CHC model which is supposed to be an evolving model.

הנה סרטון קצר של חמש דקות בו קאוין מקגרו מדבר על מבחן 4WJ  שיוצא בימים אלה לשוק.  מקגרו מספר, שאחת המטרות של גירסה 4 היא להגדיל את המורכבות הקוגניטיבית של המבחנים השונים, בין השאר באמצעות העמסה על זיכרון העבודה.  כך יצרו המפתחים משימות שדורשות לבצע הרבה פעולות פשוטות בעת ובעונה אחת.  בצורה כזו נוצרת העמסה על זיכרון העבודה.  כך נהגו במבחני העיבוד השמיעתי וזה מה שגרם לעיבוד השמיעתי להיות היכולת הטעונה ביותר ב – g במבחן הוודקוק 4.  מקגרו גם מספר בסרטון על החתירה הבלתי פוסקת שלו ושל חבריו לשפר את מודל ה – CHC , החורת על דגלו להיות מודל דינמי ומתפתח.
